Good mat
This mat is extremely comfortable! Definitely works well I camped at Stone Mtn. NC in 15 degree nights with this thing. It definitely held its Air very well never deflated at all. The hand pump is very slow but useful. I blow it up until I get tired and then use the hand pump to give it that extra bit of air.
Only downside is that I guess from my breath the pad got moisture inside of it I noticed when bringing it home. Not a big deal as I just left it in my house with the vent valve open for a couple of days and it dried out!

Nice Pad!
ADD TO CART! Intrigued by the 2 larger "side baffle" air chamber design, which turned out to be a nice touch as expected. Was at a backpacking store downtown this month, and checking out the top-name in inflatables aka Thermarest... the tapered-edge design (vs. traditional rectangular pads) works fine and probably shaves some weight; pleasantly surprised as I purchased both my son and myself the Kelty 2.5i online and found the bag it rolls into is fairly compact, and when this arrived it's pretty light, too, compares at about ~2.6lbs to one of the midrange types we could have bought at over 100 dollars.

Always used a foam mat in the past, longtime fan of foam, esp. in colder temps for insulation -- we used in a very damp December climate, about 40-45 low temp at night and felt well-insulated, just 100 yds inland on a bluff overlooking the beach at the Pacific Ocean -- this is definitely a nice pad, and a nice advance in comfort, includes a patch kit if needed. Tried out...
In A Word 'Disappointed'
I would call the design flawed. The one way valve for inflation won't close so it is virtually impossible to get it inflated. I am just about frustrated to the point of returning it. I was suspecting I was doing something wrong but it appears I am not. Maybe I just have a defective Item. If so, I will update this but for now, thumbs down. I don't enjoy fumbling with an important piece of equipment in the dark when I am tired, hungry, sleepy and my back is killing me :(. If there was an alternate way to just blow the darn thing up with lung power in case of the failure of the internal pump it would be great...
