The Spypoint TINY-W2 surveillance camera with its 8.0 megapixel quality has quite unique features. Its wireless backup system allows the user to retrieve a remote copy of each photo taken by the camera. Based on the compact design of the TINY series camera, it has a 2.4" viewing screen and three motion sensors. Its many features makes the TINY-W2 one of the most complete cameras among Spypoint products. The distance of transmission between the TINY-W2 camera and the Blackbox receiver now extends to a wireless range of 250 feet. It is therefore possible to retrieve your photos while staying away from the monitored area. If stolen, this system of wireless backup can be very effective. It is also a good way not to disturb a baiting site. Other features include, high, medium or low wireless photo transmission, sliding mount for easier handling, 38 infrared LEDs for night time illumination, automatic infrared level adjustment, video recording from 10 to 90 seconds, color pictures by day, black and white pictures by night, adjustable period of operation, time-lapse mode, multi-shop mode up to 6 pictures per detection, instant trigger time in electricity model, date, time, moon phase and temperature stamp on pictures. The camera can be powered by a rechargeable lithium battery pack which is not included and maintain it's charge by a solar panel. The kit includes the TINY-W2 camera, black box (receiver), installation strap, USB and video cables and user's manual. Camera and receiver requires an SD/SDHC care up to 32 GB which is not included. Tiny Makes Good
I have been using the Tiny W2 for about 2 months now and so far it's done a good to great job. It is still on the original batteries and doesn't take a lot of false triggers. It is facing east which normally is asking for false triggers due to the sun etc. but that can't be helped. It is watching a remote deer plot off of a large field that runs east - west. The receiver is set up about 80 - 90 yards away in an area I can access without disturbing the plot. I have been using various trail cams for about 10 years now and am pretty familiar with their capabilities. This trail cam is easy to set up and so far is operating on par with rhe better ones I am using. Picture quality using the receiver is not great but that's also a function of how much power and storage you want to use up for a remote unit. I think the Tiny W2 has a good balance in that regard. If you have locations where locating a remote receiver 80 - 90 yards away is what you need this is the unit for you...

Spypoint Tiny
I have owned several cuddeback and wildgame innovations cameras and have had good success with them. I saw an ad for Spypoint and I really liked the design and features of the Spypoint Tiny. I bought a new one online and placed it in the woods early last summer and within a week the camera malfunctioned and would not turn on. Since it has a 1 year warranty, I sent the camera back to the company but they refused to fix it under warranty because I bought it online from an unapproved dealer. I could have paid the $60 or so bucks to fix the camera but out of principle, I refused to. Plus, if I can't get more than a week of use out of these cameras, why should I sink more money into them. My suggestion is to stick with the other well established companies that back up their products.
Not as advertised
I have been working with the company on trying to fix this. Most pictures that show on the camera don't transfer to the blackbox. That is the whole point I bought this. 126 pictures on the camera one night, 2 pictures transfered to the blackbox!!! I had to place the blackbox within 25 feet of the camera in order for the camera to show that there was any signal. Not even close to the 250-300 feet they claim.
I'll update later after Spypoint tells me how they are going to handle it. Claiming I might have got a bad one and are willing to fix or replace.
2/26/13 update. After working with tech support on updating the firmware which was apparently already outdated even though I just bought this, the camera doesn't seem to be any better. I am being allowed to return it to be repaired or replaced. However, I have to pay for the shipping for an issue that is with their camera.
4/5/13 update. Finally received a replacement camera about a week ago...
