Nice bag
I bought this bag for my husband this summer, and it's holding up nicely (showing absolutely no signs of wear and tear, despite the fact that he uses it 7 days a week)
-I disagree with the reviewer from July on the point that the bag is "excellent for a petite woman". While the bag isn't huge, it's not like a mini-bag. If I were to put it on, it would look like a huge backpack because it sticks out quite a bit (I'm 5'4") but it looks fine on my husband. It may look quite small on someone who is over 6 foot, but it seems like an okay size for an average man.
-The laptop sleeve doesn't have a lot of padding, so I would probably be nervous about putting an expensive computer in without a sleeve.
-The pockets are decently sized and the straps are pretty comfortable (according to him).
-Most importantly, the construction is very high quality--the stitching is even, the fabric is thick and durable, the zippers don't stick.

Free return was not free
The construction and materials of this backpack are excellent. For my purposes, it had some design problems.
First, it is fairly small, overall. It might be excellent for a petite woman. Because of the size, I could not put an 8.5 by 11 inch file folder horizontally in the compartment that one would use for that; it just doesn't quite fit, so a file folder would have to be put in sideways (with the long edge vertical), in which case the contents, particularly small items such as receipts, would likely fall out.
A more serious problem is with the computer compartment. Laptops are expensive: to me, the first requirement of any carrying case is to protect the computer. This pack has little padding on the floor or sides of the computer compartment. My 15 inch Macbook Pro does fit, but only just. The corners press snugly into the thin fabric on top, so a knock could easily dent the computer. This problem could be solved by carrying the computer in its padded sleeve;...

This backpack is the perfect answer to for a brief case alternative. Ample space for PC and accessories as well as other items I carry with plenty of pockets to keep it organize. It is easy to work out of and stands vertical when it is set down which was a key point for me personally, as I wanted this to be my primary bag. It is pricey but when you add up all the features; quality, design, generous warranty and the free lifetime lost and found ID number that is riveted on a plate in the bag with free return service world wide it is an excellent value.
